The temporal evolution of Langmuir waves is presented with two-dimensional electrostatic Vlasov simulations. In a muti-wavelength system, trapped electrons can generate sidebands including longitudinal, transverse, and oblique sidebands. We demonstrated that are important decay channels waves, the growth rate smaller than longitudinal but higher transverse When amplitudes comparable wave, vortex merging occurs following broadening wavenumbers, finally system developed into turbulent state. addition, be depicted by nonlinear Schrödinger model [Dewar–Rose–Yin (DRY) model] non-Maxwellian Landau damping. theoretical results show significance frequency shift in waves. rates DRY qualitative agreement
